Cake Ordering
There are two ways to start the process for ordering a custom cake from 3 Sisters Chocolate and Bakery.
- Email us your information.
- Call 904-262-9122 today to speak with a member of our Custom Cake Design Team.
- Date of your event.
- Number of people that you need to serve with your cake.
- Type of event (e.g. wedding, birthday, going-away party, etc.).
- Your contact phone number and email address.
- A general idea of the type of cake design or the theme that you want. This does not need to be very detailed. Our experienced pastry team can work with you to create your specific design.
NOTE: Your cake cannot be scheduled in our bakery until your deposit has been received. Please see our payment and pricing information below.
Cake Consultation
We offer one free cake consultation (for consultations scheduled 10 days or more in advance). The purpose of this meeting is to develop your cake design and finalize the cake contract with your deposit.
Occasionally, we have a cake opening that is less that 10 days in advance of your requested date. For cake
consultations made less than 10 days in advance, there is a $35 fee. This fee will be applied toward the purchase of your cake as long as you complete your contract during the initial consultation. If you do not purchase a cake, then this fee is non-refundable. Why? We have experienced a high cancellation rate for cake consultations scheduled less than 10 days in advance. As you might imagine, we incur costs to schedule a pastry chef for your consultation and then have a "no show". Again, this fee is applied toward the purchase of your cake if you complete the contract during your initial consultation.
Scheduling Your Cake Consultation
We schedule free cake consultations Monday through Friday between 11 AM and 5 PM (for consultations scheduled 10 days or more in advance - see above).
For Cake Consultations after 5 PM, there is a $35 non-refundable consultation fee. This fee will be applied toward the purchase of your cake as long as you complete your contract during the initial consultation.
Pricing
Each of our custom cakes is created unique for your special event and therefore, we do not have set pricing for our custom cakes. Based on the size and design of your cake, we will prepare specific pricing for you.- The minimum price for any of our custom cakes is $200.
- For cake prices of $250 or more, a $250 deposit is required to reserve your cake.
- For cake prices between $200 and $249, a deposit of $75 is required to reserve your cake.
- The remainder of your cake payment is due 14 days prior to your cake pick-up/delivery date. If you plan to pay with a check, the balance/remainder of your cake payment is due 30 days prior to your cake pick-up/delivery date.
- Please
note that any cake which is not paid in full will not be prepared and
will not be ready.
Forms of Payment - We accept cash, check and all major credit cards. If you want to pay by check, then payment in full is required 4 weeks prior to your delivery/pick-up date.
Cake Deposits are Non-Refundable. Your cake deposit reserves your cake in our schedule. There are other cake requests that are not scheduled once your deposit is accepted.
Cancellations - Please understand that creating custom cakes is very labor intensive. As a result, we are not able to accept all cake requests and must use a reservation/order system to ensure you cake is scheduled for your specific day.
We will refund any payment less your deposit for cancellations made at least 14 days in advance of your pick-up/delivery date. No refunds are provided for cancellations made less than 14 days in advance of your pick-up/delivery date.
Cake Delivery/Pick-Up
- Wedding Cakes - Delivery is included in your wedding cake quotation.
- All Other Cakes - Customer pick-up at the 3 Sisters Chocolate location (9965 San Jose Blvd) during normal business hours. If you prefer delivery of your cake, please let us know at the time of ordering and we can quote a delivery fee.
Please note that although we deliver wedding cakes, we do not "ship" any cakes.
